This class is for people who want to create expressive portraits of themselves (or others) but are intimidated by the startup skill you think you need to even draw a face. We will learn some manual tracing techniques, or "cheat codes," that have been used by artists for centuries. No shame around shortcuts here!
We'll get to the good, colorful, self-expression part faster. The class will be more structured at the beginning to walk through carbon-copy techniques, and then the second half will be open-ended with guidance but freedom in how you want to create on top of those bones. And all analog - no techy equipment needed here, just a printed photo, pencils, and whatever chosen medium/surface you have.
